Malnad College of Engineering (MCE) is an engineering college located in Hassan, Karnataka, India. The college was established during 1960, in the later part of the Third Five-year plans of India, as a joint venture of the Government of India, Government of Karnataka, and the Malnad Technical Education Society. The institution is affiliated to the Viswesvaraya Technological University, in Belgaum. [1]
The college conducts nine undergraduate courses and five postgraduate courses with more than 3,000 students studying in various disciplines. The college is built on a campus of about 40 acres and has all the facilities required of a model technical education center. It has been awarded the Best Engineering College award by the Government of Karnataka. [1]
