Microfinance Innovation Center for Resource and Alternatives (MICRA) Philippines Foundation, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit foundation founded in 2008 by Mercy Corps, Inc. through its MAXIS Program. MICRA Philippines is a spin-off of Mercy Corps�s long-standing microfinance programming in the Philippines that supports the development, provision and mainstreaming of sustainable, innovative financial services to microfinance institutions (MFIs). MICRA Philippines echoes the stature of MICRA Indonesia, a foundation also founded by Mercy Corps focused on the development of the microfinance industry. To build the institutional strength and outreach of the microfinance sector, by providing a full range of high quality, best practice technical inputs and support to all industry stakeholders, in a sustainable and demand-driven manner.
