Panorama opened in fall 2006 with grades 9th, 10th, and 11th,[1] and then added 12th grade in 2007, which was in fact the first ever graudating class at Panorama High, Culminating in June 2008. Panorama relieved Van Nuys High School, John H. Francis Polytechnic High School, and Monroe High School. The opening allowed for Van Nuys High School to return to a traditional calendar.[2] Prior to having the name Panorama High School, the school was known as East Valley Area New High School #3. [1]
The first principal of Panorama High School, Sue Lepisto, retired in the early summer of 2010. She was replaced by Elias de la Torre on September of 2010. [1]
