Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel Comments and Reviews

Comments and Reviews Archives

  • We stayed in room 564 (Sunset Suite). The room was just lovely.

We just have 3 maintenance issues about the bathroom:

      • There were serious black mold on the stone walls of the bathroom. The housekeeper tried to clean it but did not have any luck. Needed to be soaked and cleaned with mildew remover.
      • The tub drain was clogged that every time we showered, it takes an hour for the water to drain.
      • Because of a design flaw on how the tub was built, the bathroom floor floods when we shower. The housekeeper had to leave us extra towels so we can dry the floor afterwards. They also showed us how to minimize the flooding by putting a towel on the side of the tub to absorb the water...but it still flooded quite a bit!
  • The first two issues can be fixed easily...the 3rd probably needs to be reviewed by the hotel management. We were told that the 3rd issue has been the major complaint in the room that we stayed in.
  • We didn't mind mopping the bathroom floor at all.
  • FORT ILOCANDIA IS A WONDERFUL PLACE! WE ARE ALREADY PLANNING OUR NEXT TRIP!
  • The Deluxe accomodations were terrific (as opposed to the standard room last visit which was somewhat in need of a facelift).
  • We had another nice, though short, visit at this resort. We received the exact room number
  • We had requested through TravelSmart, but found the air conditioning system within this room to be in need of service. As this particular room had sentimental value and as it was a surprisingly pleasant evening temperature wise, and what with a full moon and a picture window overlooking the courtyard and fountain it all turned out remarkably well. • Best resort in the Ilocos Norte region. - D. Jakoboski, Jan. 2009
  • I'm employed with Starwood Hotels and Resorts here in Maui, Hawaii and enjoy using our employee discounted rooms when on vacation. Since losing the Westin Philippine Plaza a while back, we currently have no properties in the Philippines. I know what makes for a quality hotel experience and this visit to Fort Ilocandia was very much that.
