General Information

  • What is Single Young Adults?
    • Single Young Adults (aka SYA) is a parish-based spiritual group that caters to the spiritual needs of single adults between the ages of 21 to 39. We focus on strengthening our relationship with Jesus by building up our relationships within our Christian Community or parish. By building a sense of community, we hope to bring Jesus into our lives despite our hectic lifestyles. SYA currently has over 280 members.
  • What kind of activities does SYA do?
    • SYA holds several weekend retreats in a year, as well as regular prayer meetings. We also participate in other parish activities, such as outreach programs, fund raisers, and community-building activities. We also help out other youth groups in the parish, such as Luke 18 and Antioch, in their activities.
  • How often are your weekend retreats?
    • See flyer below.
  • Where are the weekend retreats held?
    • The weekend retreats are usually held on the 2nd floor of the Parish Center. Though occasionally, due to scheduling conflicts, weekend retreats may be held at another venue. Please check with the Parish Office for the latest information for each retreat.
  • Do we need to sleep over during the retreats?
    • No. There is a scheduled set of activities during each day of the retreat. At the end of each day, participants may go home, and then return the next morning.
  • Is there a participation fee?
    • Yes. A participation fee (P1000) is necessary to cover the cost of the food and materials during the weekend retreat. Please contact the Parish Office for the latest information for each retreat.
  • I have more questions. Who may I talk to for more information?
    • Please send email to Jackie (jsmvitug@gmail.com) or contact Jasmine at the Parish Office.
