    • According to local legends, the town of Bacolor was founded in 1576 by a landlord named Guillermo Manabat. In the same year, it was accepted as a convent by the Augustinian council and was called San Guillermo. During the British occupation in 1762 to 1764, Bacolor was the seat of the government
