- Overview
Deccan College of Medical Science (DCMS) is a medical college for the Muslim minority situated in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh offering the courses MBBS(bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery),pharmacy,bachelors in physiotherapy and Masters in hospital management. It has an approved intake of 150 seats. The benefits of this college are also extended to non-minority students. [1]
The college was established in the year 1985 with the permission of Government Of Andhra Pradesh. It is affiliated to the NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijaywada and permanently recognised by the Medical Council of India. It follows the syllabus prescribed by the University for M.B.B.S course as recognised by Medical Council Of India. The management observes such rules, regulation or orders which are applicable to minority institution without violating the rights conferred under Article 30(1) of the constitution of India. [1]
