  • Hotel Features. Entrepreneur John Carpenter realized his vision of opening a Burmese-style luxury hotel in Texas by building the Omni Mandalay Hotel Irving. The expansive lobby boasts modern and antique furnishings enhanced by the profusion of tropical foliage. Trevi's restaurant, known for its homemade pastries, offers intimate dining settings and prepares Italian-Mediterranean cuisine for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. An outdoor patio overlooks Lake Carolyn. Les Jardin is located in the hotel's garden atrium and serves light lunches, appetizers and cocktails. Morsel's gift shop serves Starbucks coffee. A total of 45,000 square feet of multi-function space includes the landscaped grounds. The 8,500-square-foot Mokara Spa & Salon offers seven massage treatment rooms and 12 hair-salon stations. Therapy products include Aveda, June Jacobs and Peter Thomas Roth. A naturally lit fitness facility overlooks the lake and features six weight machines, seven treadmills, three elliptical trainers and two recumbent bikes. Bar service is offered at the outdoor, lake-view pool and spa tub.

Suites, some with balconies, echo the building's curved shape and feature subtle leaf-green and taupe color schemes. Two armoires house televisions. Suites feature one-and-one-half bathrooms, some with bidets. Guestrooms and suites are equipped with complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet access.
