Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, Contra Costa County, California is a suburban school serving all of Pittsburg. It has been in operation since 1945. Over 2,200 students attend the school, which is divided into Three Campuses: East Campus, Main Campus, and Stevenson Academy. Students of each grade (9-12) attend both East and Main campus while Stevenson Academy is a small learning community primarily attended by select 9th and 10th graders. Each grade has its own assistant principal. Pittsburg High has been in heavily criticized by the county and state due to the amount of low test scores and amount of graduates, about at 33 percent of students graduate each year. ^[1]
