East Union High School is a secondary school located in Manteca, California. The school first opened its doors in 1966 with a population of 514 students, 26 staff members and two counselors. Today, East Union High School enrolls over 1,600 students annually.^[1]

The very first East Union School was established in 1865 on the corner of Louise Avenue and Union Road, across from the East Union Cemetery. The school building served a dual purpose as a school and a funeral parlor. In 1913, the East Union School burned down and was not rebuilt. In 1966, a second campus was opened at Manteca High School and then the current campus was opened one year later.^[1]
