Financial Times Electronic Publishing (FTEP) Philippines, part of the London-based Financial Times Group, has been operational in the Philippines since 1997. It currently employs 200-plus local staff in offices at the 9th, 41st, and 42nd floors of Philamlife Tower, Makati City.
FTEP is a high quality data production unit engaged in collecting, indexing, formatting and processing worldwide business news and information from on-line and paper-based sources. This information appears daily with the pages of FT.com (The Financial Times website) and is also supplied to other major on-line news and information suppliers.
Developments during 2004-2009: FT Group Accounts (Hermes project); FT Research Center; customer support for the FT newspaper’s Asian expansion; the NLA (Newspaper Licensing Agency of the UK) digital database project; FT Job Ads and Executive-Appointment ad project; Web Analytics team; Online Ad Production Support; Project Phoenix (production journalist team for FT.com); IT Development tasks; and Credit Control for the FT Group.
