Charles Paddock Zoo is a small community zoo located in Central Coast area of that US state. It is also home to a female Indochinese tiger named Sala, one of only 235 world-wide.It houses over 100 animals on a 5 acre (20,000 m²) site adjacent to the Atascadero Lake Park, just off State Route 41 .The zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Accreditation Commission (AZA) http://www.atascadero.org/cpz/?page_id=2607.Meerkats at the Charles Paddock Zoo, 12/2006.[1]
