The University of Asia and the Pacific is a private, not-for-profit institution of higher learning. it traces its beginnings to 33 years ago, when the Center for Research and Communication (CRC) was established. CRC was a think-tank conducting economic and social research and giving garduate courses to economics. It gradually exp-anded its educational activities to other fields. In 1995, it was granted University status by the Commission on Higher Education and has since been known as the University of Asia and the Pacific.

The UA&P campus, located in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines, hosts about 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The University has long-term plans for multicampus system offering various fields of specialization and emphasizing professional competence founded on a strong liberal arts education.

  • Admissions Tips

For High School Students:

Secure from the Admissions Office the Applicant Information Slip. Fill out slip and submit to the cashier at the Accounting and Finance Unit at the 2nd floor, College of Arts and Sciences Building. (Note: while inside the UA&P campus, please observe proper dress code- no sleeveless shirts, shorts and skirts above the knee.) Secure an application form from the cashier and pay the Admissions processing fee. This fee covers the application form, UA&P brochure, list of requirements and exam dates, testing and processing of the application. Admission processing fees are:

  • For students from local private schools - Php 550
  • For students from local public schools - Php 250
  • For students from foreign schools - US$50

Accomplish completely and accurately the application form. Please print using black ink all your responses.

Do not use abbreviations. If a question is not applicable, write NA on the space provided.

Insert all completed forms and other required documents in the envelope.

Required documents:

  • Accomplished application form
  • Secondary school record (Enclosed in a sealed envelope. Have the flap signed by the School Registrar.)
  • Recommendation form (Enclosed in a sealed envelope. Have the flap signed by the Principal or Guidance Counselor)
  • Personal essay (typewritten)
  • Two (2) 2" x 2" identical pictures (1 for the application form and 1 for the exam permit)
  • Accomplished Scholarship /Financial Assistance form and other required documents for those applying for grants.
  • Photocopy of NSO authenticated Birth Certificate

Note: Submissions with incomplete requirements will not be accepted.

All credentials, including the application form submitted to the University Admissions Office, become property of the school. They will not be returned to the applicant.

The list of accepted applicants will also be posted at the UA&P website (www.uap.edu.ph) and at the UA&P Admissions Bulletin Board located at the ground floor, CAS Building, UA&P campus. If you have not received your letter by the first week of March, please inquire immediately from the Admissions Office at telephone numbers 634-2809 (telefax) or 6370912 loc. 321.

    • Required Examinations

Get your test permit after submission of all required documents- date, room and venue will be indicated in the test permit.

Present your exam permits on the testing date. Latecomers will not be permitted to take the exam. Request for a re-scheduling of entrance exam is allowed but is not encouraged. A Php 300.00 deferment fee will be charged, regardless of the reason given.

Check your mail or your school's Guidance Office for the result of your application. Individual status letters will be released by the end of January and made available either through the guidance counselor (for graduating high school applicants) or sent to the applicant by registered mail or courier service.

    • Deadlines

Submit the accomplished application form & other required documents at the Admissions Office, and present the Admissions processing fee official receipt. Test date will be indicated in your application form. Deadline is four days before your testing date.

    • Average High School Records of Accepted Applicants

Prepare the following documents for enrollment: Form 138 (Original senior report card) Form 137 (Transcript of Records) Note: Forms 137 & 138 may be submitted during the Freshmen Orientation Day scheduled on the first week of June.


For admitted applicants: read carefully the attachments to your notice of admissions (Instructions for Incoming Freshmen, Schedule of Fees, and the Confirmation Fee Slip). The date for enrolment will be indicated in your acceptance letter.
