Kanpur

Kanpur pronunciation is the ninth most populous city in India and the most populous within the state of Uttar Pradesh. [1], and in terms of area, Kanpur is the fifth largest city in India [2].It is also known as the Manchester of Asia. Kanpur is located on the banks of the river Ganga and is an important industrial centre. It has an area of over 1600 km² and population of 4 864 674 [3]. Owing to the city's industrial importance, one of branches of the Reserve Banks of India was established in the city.It is also referred as the economic capital of Uttar Pradesh.^[1]
