The Castle Garden Bed & Breakfast is located in St. Augustine, Fla., the oldest city in the United States. The inn is tucked away on a quiet historic street less than one block from the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. Attractions within one mile include the Oldest Wooden School House, Potters Wax Museum and the Fountain of Youth.This 1860s Moorish Revival inn, formerly the Castle Warden Carriage House, boasts an unusual coquina stone exterior. The foundation and chimney from the old blacksmith's shop still stands. Complimentary country breakfasts are served daily. Every room in the inn is decorated with antiques and period furnishings. The sitting room features heartland pine floors, two 19th-century Queen Anne chairs, a Victorian love seat, an antique 1888 rocker glider and a piano. The dining room boasts an antique mahogany table and a suit of armor. The Castle Garden is in a park-like setting, and a brick patio offers a wrought iron table and chairs. Complimentary use of bicycles is available to tour the nearby attractions. Pets are not allowed at the property. Guestrooms at the Castle Garden Bed & Breakfast recreate the ambience of the old Castle Warden Carriage House. Rooms are furnished with antiques and period pieces. Standard guestrooms offer private bathrooms with showers. Deluxe rooms offer full bathrooms, bathrobes, jetted tubs, cathedral ceilings and sunken bedrooms.
