- Location. The French Quarter's decadent ambience is just outside the front door of The Westin New Orleans Canal Place. Located in the center of downtown New Orleans, La., and overlooking the Mississippi River, the 18-story hotel is within one-half mile of the artsy Jackson Square, the French Quarter and the French Market.
