MVSR Engineering College i.e., Maturi Venkata Subba Rao Engineering College, was founded in 1981 with three disciplines. Over the years it has grown from strength to strength and is a premier technical institute in Andhra Pradesh. The total student strength at present is over 2300. There are 124 well-qualified faculty and 146 skilled supporting staff. The college had celebrated Silver Jubilee in 2007. Construction of several new buildings including new library block and extension of existing structures was taken up to inscrease more facilities. The concept of SMART CAMPUS was introduced during silver jubilee year by issuing smart cards to staff and students too. Following this step the college has become one of the few institutions which have effectively implemented SMART concept. [1]
