Established in the year 1976 as a University Management Department to impart quality management education, Kousali Institute of Management Studies (KIMS) has since its inspection always aspired to be a B-school with a difference. The institute has ceaselessly strived to produce Professionals with Erudition backed by high moral and ethical values.

KIMS as a learning community is a “Family” where participation, teamwork, interdependence and communication prevail. This culture of appreciation, which builds up our community, encourages us towards excellence and professionalism. Within a span of 33 – years the institute has carved a niche for itself in the field of imparting quality management education. The institute has shaped and nurtured the lives and careers of over 1600 Students.

Message from Dean & Director

During the seventies, when we had only a handful of Management Institutes in the country, and students would hesitate to join a new course like MBA, Kousali Institute of Management Studies was founded in 1976 as a Post graduate department of the University. It was possible with generous donation from a local philanthropist Mr. Tamappanna Kousali and hence the name. In these 35 years, we have honed and perfected the skills of thousands of students to hold high managerial positions in virtually all industries These thousands of alumni are now a constant source of feedback for our curriculum and they also participate in this learning process of shaping managers for the new resurgent India's global business. Each of our 'Kimsites' are trained to work in a 24x7 business-like working environment; loaded with instant assignments, live industry projects, overnight presentations along with finer skills like painting, clay molding and candle making. In short they are truly "job-ready" for a successful career in your organization. These students are trained equally well in hard or technical or soft skills. They also have challenging sessions in ethical and value based management including green businesses and social entreprenuership.
