Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology (also called SDMCET), located at Dharwad in Karnataka, India, earlier affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University (VTU), Belgaum (Karnataka) is now an autonomous body. It is the first Institute of North Karnataka, India to get accreditation for all its courses by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, India. It was established in the 1979 CE and until the setting up of VTU, the college was affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad. ^[1]

SDMCET, founded in 1979, ranks among top 5% (91 out of 1350) of Indian engineering colleges recently. The college has been granted autonomous status. ^[1]

The SDMCET campus is known by name of Dhavalagiri. The college has one of the finest campus. The building of college can be said to be an architectural master piece. The college campus was developed without disturbing the topography of the area. The college has well equipped laboratories, large classrooms, a playground and a library. ^[1]
