History
Sorsogon East Central School was founded around 1914 after the Spanish occupation or during the early American occupation..Formerly known as Burabod Elementary School. This central school is located at barangay Burabod, East District, Sorsogon City. The largest central school in Sorsogon City in terms of land area and one of the most populous public elementary schools as well. The only central school in Sorsogon City offering Special Education (SPED) Classes to children with special needs and now offering Special Science Class (SSES) in Grades One to Six with a maximum of 35 pupils only focusing more in Science, English and Math..This central school gained several awards in national, regional, provincial and division competitions/contests in academics and other curricular activities. Truly a landmark of Sorsogon City that every Sorsogueno can be proud of. Sorsogon East Central School (SECS)- the central school located at the HEART of Sorsogon City!
