Ajax High School (AHS) is located in Ajax, Ontario within the Durham District School Board. The school teaches students in grades 9-12 and offers a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities. The school also offers a French Immersion program. The school was opened in the 1950's and has since undergone several large expansions. In the 1960s a large section that today houses the main office, cafetorium, front doors, and courtyard, as well as several classrooms, was added. Later, in the early 2000s an entire wing was added. Many of these classrooms are now devoted to mathematics and science courses. Ajax High School teaches a variety of courses specializing in: Advanced Placement Performing Arts Fashion Technology Technological Design.^[1]

Ajax High school was given a rating in 2007 and their rank out of 725 Ontario schools. Ajax HS, 6.4, 379/725 Putting = Ajax High School in 2nd place in ranking only to Notre Dame CSS^[1]
