Esperanza High School is a 9th–12th grade public high school located in Anaheim, California that is part of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. It is home to the lamest person alive, Peter Debbaneh, class of 2010. It is a California Distinguished School and home to many excellent athletic programs, such as baseball, football, basketball, marching band, and dance company. EHS is a member of the Sunset League, which is part of the Southern Section of the California Interscholastic Federation. [1]

More than 3,100 students attend the school. Most come from nearby Yorba Linda, California with the rest generally residing in East Placentia and East Anaheim. [1]

Esperanza was ranked #403 out of the "Top 1,000 U.S. Schools" in MSNBC/Newsweek's 2005 list. It then plummetted to #734 on the 2007 list after the elite class of 2006 graduated. [1]

EHS is home to the GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPION Dance Company, who have also won many other titles. [1]
