- Location. With dazzling views of San Diego's downtown skyline, the Marriott Coronado Island occupies 16 waterfront acres on Coronado Island's eastern edge. This charming resort property is five miles from downtown San Diego and features a water taxi that transports guests between Coronado Island and the Marriott Marina in San Diego.
