The Ala Kai B&B is located off the coast of the Pacific Ocean on the Kaloli Point of the Puna Peninsula in Kea'au, Hawaii. The adjacent beach is a popular spot for swimming, snorkeling and strolling. The 'Ohi'a-Lehua Rainforest is less than five miles from the bed and breakfast. Kea'au Beach and the Panaewa Zoo and Equestrian Center are approximately 14 miles away.This bed and breakfast, boasting a name that means "road by the sea," features expansive views of the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean each morning. Full, complimentary breakfasts are provided, and may include island fruits, Kona coffee, tea and juice. A full kitchen is available for guests' use. Continental breakfast items are available upon request. The bed and breakfast provides complimentary wireless Internet access throughout the inn. Coolers, beach chairs and beach towels are available. A wrap-around lanai provides a sitting area and a hammock suitable for viewing breaching whales just off the shore. A shared sitting room includes a library, board games, puzzles and cable television. Pets are not allowed at this property.The guestrooms in the main house at the Ala Kai B&B feature private entrances leading to the bed and breakfast's shared lanai. Both rooms include CD players. The Ohana Cottage, nestled behind the main house, includes two bedrooms, a living room with satellite television, a kitchen with a microwave oven, and a private lanai with a barbecue grill. A DVD and CD player are provided in the guest cottage.
