- Location. Central to the Gold Coast Neighborhood in Chicago, Ill., The Whitehall Hotel radiates European style. The hotel is less than two blocks from Rush Street restaurants and nightclubs, and North Michigan Avenue's Magnificent Mile. A complimentary Chicago museum trolley stops two blocks from the hotel. The John Hancock Center, Oak Street boutiques and the Lake Michigan shoreline are located within five blocks of this property.

Originally built in 1927 as an apartment building, this hotel maintains its Victorian ambience with intimate quarters showcasing antique mahogany furnishings, oil paintings and wood paneling with glass-enclosed memorabilia. Morning coffee and teatimes are hosted in a tea room just off the lobby area. The Fornetto Mei (Beautiful Little Oven) Restaurant serves Neo-Milanese, Oriental and Italian cuisine with specialty pizzas prepared over a wood-burning oven.
