Peoples Church is a nondenominational church in Fresno, California. The church is led by interim pastor Doug Holck, as the church looks to hire a new head pastor after the retirement of GL Johnson. The church campus is home to Fresno Christian Schools, a private school attended by students in grades K-12. On Sunday, June 3, 2007, Pastor Johnson announced during the three morning services his intention to tenure his resignation in the Spring of 2008. He said the timeliness of his decision was based upon his 80th birthday and his 45th anniversary as leader of the Peoples Church congregation. Pastor Johnson retired in late February 2008, and the pastoral search committee is currently looking for a new Senior Pastor. During the transition phase Pastor Doug Holck is the Interim Senior Pastor and Rev. Ron McManus will be preaching on Sundays. ^[1]
