The cornerstone of Valley High School was laid in 1965 and construction was completed by the fall of the same year. This photograph shows construction on the site in March 1965. Mount Charleston is visible on the western horizon as is the Sahara Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. ^[1]
